We’re beyond thrilled to host our very first Indie Author Book Signing & Market—a celebration of Alberta’s incredible talent! Join us for an unforgettable event featuring 15 amazing local authors and a fantastic bookish merch vendor.
To give everyone a chance to meet their favorite authors, we’ve got two signing sessions, each lasting 1.5 hours—but don’t worry, the lineup stays the same for both!
Come support indie authors, discover your next favorite read, and soak up the bookish vibes!
Ticket information:
- Tickets are $6 +GST and eventbrite fees. We will be donating $1 from each ticket purchase to our friends at the Alexandra Writers' Centre Society whose mission is to "empower and inspire storytellers to connect, learn, and develop their craft."
Event Details:
- Session One - 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM
- Session Two - 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM
- Books will be available for purchase at the authors' tables

Terms and Conditions for Indie Author Market & Book Signing Event
By purchasing a ticket and attending our book signing event, you agree to the following terms and conditions
- Resale of Tickets: Tickets may not be resold for more than their original purchase price. Any instance of ticket scalping, price inflation, or fraudulent ticket sales will result in permanent bans from all future events hosted by Slow Burn Books. We reserve the right to deny entry to anyone found engaging in fraudulent activity as stated above.
- Refunds and Cancellations: All ticket sales are final. No refunds, exchanges, or cancellations will be processed unless the event is canceled by the organizer. If the event is postponed or rescheduled, tickets will remain valid for the new date, and no refunds will be offered unless otherwise stated by the organizer.
- Code of Conduct: All attendees are expected to behave respectfully and in accordance with event staff and venue guidelines. Any disruptive, abusive, or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the event without a refund and a ban from future events.
- Author Lineup: The lineup of authors attending the event is subject to change without notice. While we strive to maintain the announced lineup, unforeseen circumstances may require adjustments. Any changes to the author lineup will be communicated via email to ticket holders.
