EVENT DESCRIPTION
Start off your 2024 at the Forks with a dose of wellness! We have a full day’s lineup of yoga, movement, and mindfulness classes with some of Winnipeg’s best teachers. The beginning of a new year is the perfect time to set an intention of taking care of ourselves (and to drink mocktails!). Everyone is welcome; all you need is to wear clothes you feel comfortable moving in, and a yoga/exercise mat and water bottle.
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
For all classes, please bring a yoga/exercise mat. All classes are done barefoot.
Strength & Low-Impact Cardio
This bodyweight class is designed as a 45-minute movement and mobility workout that strengthens, lengthens and tones - all to the beat of the music. It focuses on isometric strength movements and cardio intervals to help you experience deep physical work and deep mental release. Low impact, designed for all fitness levels.

Amie is the owner of The Community Gym, downtown Winnipeg's hub for fitness and wellness since spring 2019. With a journey in fitness instruction that began in 2014, she’s committed to inspiring individuals to lead healthier, more active lives. As a lifelong Winnipeg resident, she is deeply passionate about our city's vibrancy and community health, especially the downtown scene. Fueled by the joy of helping others create better lives through movement and fitness, her dynamic classes foster a welcoming space for growth and transformation. When not at the gym, you'll find her revelling in the beauty of Manitoba's outdoor spaces and strolling to and from the Forks daily!
