Join Toronto’s massive Chariot Fest Ratha Yatra 2026 featuring a grand parade, live kirtan, yoga, cultural shows, free vegetarian feast, and Centre Island festivities.
Experience one of the largest and most vibrant spiritual festivals in Canada as Chariot Fest Toronto 2026 returns to downtown Toronto and Centre Island for an unforgettable weekend of culture, devotion, music, food, yoga, and celebration.
Formerly known as Festival of India Toronto, Chariot Fest has become one of Toronto’s most anticipated summer festivals, attracting thousands of visitors, devotees, families, tourists, and cultural enthusiasts every year.
Inspired by the world-famous Jagannath Ratha Yatra of Puri, India, the festival celebrates the sacred journey of Lord Jagannath, Baladeva, and Subhadra through the streets in magnificent hand-pulled chariots.
The celebrations begin with the spiritually uplifting 12-Hour Kirtan at the Hare Krishna Temple in Toronto, where devotees and musicians gather for continuous chanting, meditation, and devotional music.
The next day, downtown Toronto transforms into a vibrant sea of colour, music, dancing, and spirituality during the iconic Ratha Yatra Parade along Yonge Street. Towering chariots, live drumming, ecstatic chanting, traditional Indian dance, and thousands of participants create one of the most visually stunning parades in Toronto.
The celebrations continue at Toronto Centre Island, where visitors can enjoy a full weekend festival experience featuring live kirtan, yoga, meditation, spiritual seminars, artisan vendors, cultural performances, vegetarian food, family-friendly activities, and wellness experiences.
